Homage

The passage of the first Slave Codes in the mid-1600’s is when slave masters began legalizing the dehumanization of African Slaves. Fear was a constant among slave families. This artwork is a tribute piece to African Men & Women that survived the Middle Passage and centuries of humiliation and deprivation, still managing to survive and excel against the odds.
